"Very basic stay - except for a soap bar no shampoo, shower gel or other basic toiletries. Room to the street noisy. Most TV channels did not work. Not a very good value for money compared to the hotel down the street. Plus is the convenient check in with a door code."

The restaurant and breakfast room are located in this ‘castle.’ The rooms are located across the street in a new-fangled room complex. The rooms are modern and functionally furnished. "Arrived very tired having struggled to find it due to road closures. booked on here, no one at the hotel to welcome usas explained on our booking paperwork. Rang and got through to an English speaking person who cycled down to us to show us in and let us park the motorcycle in the locked garage. "The room was clean and efficient, loved the heated bathroom floors The church bells tolling in the morning were delightful. The staff was busy but always made time to answer questions with a smile. The restaurant was very very good and the breakfast was a delightful private table with a generous variety of bread, rolls, fruits, yogurts, eggs and meats. Coffee and tea with again a very capable and friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit. "

"GPS took us to the wrong location, not the hotels’ fault, but it was harder to find than expected. The biggest issue we had is the shower had a floor to ceiling window to the outside. It was frosted, but it made showering uncomfortable. Also the elevator was interesting. It was almost like it was a warehouse lift for pallets."
