"Great location for travel"

"Very nice recent room, great view on the pool and mountains - in a remote area. The small spa section is nice, but jacuzzi still out of service. Breakfast varied depending on number of guests staying, but was good both days. Very friendly staff. Gym equipment very minimal. Would stay again"

"Modern sleek hotel in a nature park with great walking and views of the Atlantic in the far distance. Very private and great place to relax. We did not use spa or gym. A few concerns: Road in is rough in places. Lots of small things needed work - doors not sliding closed properly, hot water not there, random alarms. Biggest disappointment was the so-called gourmet dining room with over-priced skimpy meals. Breakfast were excellent though. "

"A large modern hotel on the East side of the village with a lovely harbor view, nice outdoor pool ( chilly in early April) and indoor pool and gym. The breakfast is great. Ask for a sea view room. There are several inexpensive decent restaurants just down the street from the Hotel the Vila Velha being the best (more expensive). Walk out on the undeveloped rocky point to big cliffs overlooking the sea and have a picnic. "

"The hotel is opposite a beautiful beach with a gorgeous outlook from the restaurant. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had the buffet dinner and breakfast both of which were very good quality and offered a wide choice with excellent value for money. We will definitely stay again"

"Like a dude ranch. Must have been 1000 acres it was a 2 mile drive up a dirt road just to get to reception "
