"What a hidden gem! All the staff here are super friendly, from the housekeepers to the front desk. Yasmin working the night shift at reception was an absolute delight. She warmly greeted me when I walked in and even knew my name before I said it. The room was clean, cozy, and the heating worked great...a must for this chilly January weather. Although this property is marketed as a "no-frills" hotel, the room was relatively spacious (by NYC standards), there was a nice selection of toiletries (in eco-friendly, refillable pumps), and the gleaming white towels were displayed in fancy shapes. The bed was comfy, and the cable worked well. The hot water in the bathroom took a couple minutes to heat up, but when it did, it was perfect and had excellent pressure. The hotel is just steps away from the subway, and the Upper West Side neighborhood can't be beat. I have business in the area from time to time, and I plan to definitely return. Thanks for a lovely stay!"
