"Nice hotel in a good spot in Barrio Escalante. It was nice to have our own apartment with a kitchen. Room was clean and the staff was friendly. I could tell that booking through Expedia was an extra hurdle for them, because we didn't get standard messages like our room door code or the wifi details, those appeared to be arranged some other way which was not known to me. It's well worth the money, but maybe book on a different platform."

"The room and bathroom were immaculate and roomy. We had a wonderful dinner in the hotel restaurant up on the 4th floor looking out over the city. We ate in the lovely outdoor dining area surrounded by bougainvilleas. It was the best good of our trip to Costa Rica. The breakfast buffet the next morning was very nice with many options and excellent service. "

" Santo Tomas Hotel was a very nice stay for my family. The hotel is in downtown and is nicely gated. The desk is well manned and the gate opened almost immediately upon our arrival, even after we went out and came back very late. Comfortable beds and nice hot showers. We had our own toiletries but good to mention there was only small bar soap in the bathroom. There is a fridge and microwave in a common area.
