「Excellent stay here! Specially the service from two gentlemen at front desk, they were being helpful and tried to book cab for us (finding cab is headache in Kyoto!), Also they were able to speak English! The hotel is clean generally, you get a free little complimentary snack box daily if you chose no house keeping service during your stay. Very convenient location from hotel to Gion Shijo where u get all the shopping & food and also easy to walk to Kiyomizu-Dera temple (10 mins walk)! Lovely...

「Lovely bed-and-breakfast inn, with owner staying at one of the units. Convenient location from the main shopping & restaurant area, and also walkable to subway. Hard to hail taxi outside of the hotel when we need to go to the airport. So the hotel calls taxi for us. We waited for about 10 min before the taxi came, which is ok. 「It is an old-fashioned Japanese style hotel. The staff were very nice and the room was spacious for 4 tatami beds. The breakfast was Japanese style. It was delicious and unlike the buffet style, it was a set prepared for each of us. So it was hot and delicious. Each night when we returned to hotel, the staff had already prepared hot water for us so that we can have tea in our room. And there was a little hot spring and the basement of the hotel. We had a great time there.」

「When me and my companion arrived Ohara bus station, we informed the minshuku and the staff arrived quickly and picked us up. He was very nice and explained to us what we could do around the small town. It was the season of firefly sighting so we decided to explore the town at night, he noticed that me and my companion was wearing short sleeves and quickly told us to wear a jacket to protect us from insect bites, he even lend us a torch as it was quite dark on the streets. "服務人員親切有禮，住宿環境乾淨。我們住三人間，其中的沙發床床頭亦有USB插座可充電，浴廁分離，浴室有小椅凳等設計覺得很用心。自助式早餐相當豐富，大廳休息區有咖啡機可隨時取用咖啡或沖煎茶茶包。距商店街及鴨川都很近，住宿體驗佳。"

"Quite a comfortable stay in Kyoto. The room was tidy and clean. The hotel was slightly far away from the major tourist spots/shopping streets, yet, it's acceptable walking distance. And the walk was quite nice in Autumn/Winter. Regarding the staff services, high appreciation to the Japanese receptionists as I saw they would really guide guests to the breakfast area to introduce their services while the non-Japanese staff simply introduced from their reception desk (though it's fine for me as I'm familiar with the hotel services). All in all, this is really a nice hotel and definitely will stay here again for next time. "
