"I had read a lot of mixed reviews on this hotel but still chose to stay as I love the Ace Hotel chain. I was so happy with our visit. We had 2 double rooms and luckily these were on same floor. Both with views of empire state and a great size. The check in was seamless and the staff so friendly. The area around hotel had so much going on and the general location made it very walkable for us to explore uptown one day then downtown another. A train stop also close by. "Property overall was nice. I liked how modern it was. We stayed the weekend before Christmas and it was nice because it was far enough to be away from crowds and close enough to just hop on the subway. Only 2 complaints. 1) there’s no bathroom or shower door so make sure u real comfortable with the person ur traveling with. There’s 0 privacy when it comes to using the restroom and shower so beware. 2) our water heater broke in the room so we took cold showers one night. Once we did speak to someone they fixed it immediately so really not a big complaint in this one. Just never happened to me before "
