be sure to bring warm jacket as the temperature can vary dramatically at top of volcano. also, avoid going on cloudy day as crater will not be visible.
is a four hours drive that come with a nice scenery view of the valle of the country site, /would recommend it. San Carlos, La fortuna is a most to visit.
See the park but spend your time walking in Bosques de Prusia park below the summit. Great hiking and a nice picnic area high enough that it is always cool.
Bring a jacket! You can drive all the way to the top of the volcano, but it can be quite cold and breezy up there. If the weather cooperates, there are beautiful views, and it's eery looking down into the volcano's crater.
