"Stayed at this property numerous times over the years. They’ve made wonderful updates and it truly feels like a mountain lodge with an amazing bar and gorgeous seating area. The restaurant was closed so we didn’t get to try it. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet escape to a truly charming inn. "

"We'd read a mix of reviews on this property. However, our experience was that the negative reviews have no merit. This was a great place to stay in the Franklin area and everything about this stay was excellent. The only caution I would offer is to be careful turning into the road that leads up to the hotel as it is at the crest of a hill. "Historic, over 100 years old, and former high school, this is an interesting stay that takes you back to that prior generations' feeling. The positives were a comfortable bed, clean, good breakfast, and the sole negative was it was cold on the interior (cold outside) with no available blanket and no ability to increase heat in the room."

"We loved this property. Communication was great. The cabin is cozy and so cute. We had everything we needed and we're created with a very thoughtful snack basket waiting for us. On our first night a really bad storm took down a tree and (unfortunately) the dish. We were able to use wifi to watch TV. The location is remote- perfect to unwind and reset."

The mountains and lake were breathtaking, and it's awesome that the flying squirrel cabin felt like a home away from home. "The room was spacious. The bedding clean and soft, and the hot water came up instantly. Everything was a little shabby, but it was cheap, comfortable, and everything that needed to be clean was clean."

"My stay at this adorable cottage right on Mirror Lake was incredible. It is 2 beds and 2 bath, so for me it was the perfect size. I would much rather the home be well located and beautifully decorated, which this cottage definitely was! I love getting build fires every night and walk around the adorable Mirror Lakes neighborhood during the day.
