"Lots of history here. Lovely old hotel! With an old building come problems...like lack of outlets at the head of the bed, which in this age of needing to charge devices is a problem. And breathing machines! I use my phone for a clock at night and have it on the bedside table, but plugged in, which I could not do. Also, I am a tea drinker and couldn't find tea bags and a way to make hot water there in the room, though there was a coffee maker. These are small things, just minor annoyances in an...

"Fantastic stay! Peaceful, lovely, great condition. A considerate spirit enhances the whole stay - check in bag with chocolates, reading lamps, gas fire in the cafe and homemade baked goods. "

"This Inn is fabulous. All train themed. All the rooms are different but all the decor is tastefull and the owners have tried to keep everything as near to the original as possible. The room we had was extremely well planned, roomy, maintained to a very high standard and spotless. There was a seperate sitting room with a table and chairs, which was very cozy. "My family had an amazing time staying in the wonderful themed room here. The food was restaurant quality and everyone we worked with was helpful and friendly with an excellent response time. I can't recommend this place enough!!!"

"This is a great venue. It is affordably priced, conveniently located, artfully maintained in accordance with it original style (wooden floors and picket rail porch, antique furniture, etc.). I felt unique and pampered in my room. I even heard a train whistle nearby in the early wee hours of the morning, reassuring and comforting rather than disturbing. I hope to return for a longer stay."

"What is not to love about being welcomed into Richard and Ruth’s home. They are wonderful hosts and spent hours talking to us both during our stay. The house is an amazing building and learning about its history was wonderful. We walked into the tiny town and got some dinner, lovely options available. We can not wait to visit again and will be recommending anyone travelling around this area should certainly book a stay."
