「Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. 」

「Really nice find for an excellent stay over on a business trip. Comfortable warm room, nice big telly, excellent staff. The restaurant on site was very good, although expensive - for me a price of £36 for a steak is very toppy - although it was excellent.」

「Stayed over after a big family gathering in the hotel. Service during the meal for 25 people was excellent and staff were calm and helpful. The swimming pool was clean and pleasant. There was plenty of free parking with 6 @ 22kw electric car chargers with payment via an app.」

「limited hotel services, much like basic business hotel, tooo bad that the lift to car park was not in service during my stay, I need to walked through stairs with my working stick (I have some problems with my legs)」

「Great staff. Great facilities. Great breakfast. Great spa! Could do with a slight freshen up and in the rooms, bathroom could do with a mop and 1 packet of biscuits had been half open plus definitely needs 2 more pillows on the beds, however, these didnt detract from having an amazing stay! 」

「I have stayed before & I like the place & people; slightly disappointed that there was no effort to clear the car park of snow or indeed the path up to the door - it was very dangerous. No grit or salt laid either. They did say they had a shovel ! 」
