「What a lovely hotel! Super friendly staff at check in and in the restaurant. We had dinner there as well, and the food was delicious. We kindly got an upgrade as well. Hotel has been beautifully decorated. Lovely room with a patio. Very comfy bed and pillows. Unfortunately no robes and slippers in the room. And no hooks in the bathroom to hang the towels on. 」

「Loved our stay at The Gallivant and would definitely visit again! Due to the location of the hotel I think this is definitely more of a seasonal hotel, however this didn’t impact my opinion of it, the service was great, room was lovely and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was incredible! My only complaint is that they don’t have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, we were told that we could go to the bar for these however, they charge for them on your bill at the end of the stay which...

「Advertised as a hotel (not Pontins) with an address that didn't match the booking one and lacking many of the basics you'd have in in anything resembling a hotel. One of the worst properties I've stayed in over 4 decades. A generally stand off ish and hostile undertone from the staffing on arrival, several serious defects and no warning about the bedding or towel shortfalls (unless you are one of their loyal customers who tolerate more than they should be expected to).
