「Very warm welcome. Staff are friendly. Excellent location. Just one thing which requires a bit of improvement: I asked if there is an additional chair as the sink is too high for my kids, the staff did not get back to me.」

「The hotel is extremely beautiful. Location is greatly convenient too. Although it is in the no-vehicles zone the hotel was able to call you a taxi that can arrive outside, otherwise you will have to walk 3-4 mins tk the nearest main road which can be inconvenient if with a lot of luggage. 「DO Placa Real is located in the heart of center of Barcelona. Expect crowds in the area but it also means that restaurants and other amenities are easily accessible. We found we could walk easily or take the metro easily. The hotel was very clean and provided everything we needed including robes and towel warmers. 」

"The hotel is not bad, location is great, but Very bad service at reception. They try to over charge you on things and take a long time both check in and check out. Tried to make a complaint to the front desk manager and he was not willing to even listen . "

"This is an excellent location with excellent services! Have very good free breakfast 🍳, all our questions got answered by these very friendly staff at front desk! I travel a lot, and they are really the best! I think this should a at least 3 star hotel! Elegant with a few hundred years history. Very nice 👍, we are very pleased with our stay ! "

Decent hotel in a not quite safe neighborhood

"The hotel is located in an area with a lot of adultery workers and thieves, as we were warned by not one but a few drivers during the stay. The hotel itself is a decent one, we were welcomed by glasses of Cava however the front desk was a bit understaff as both the time we had to wait quite a bit to check in and check out. The bed is very huge which usually is a good thing however in this case it gets too huge and make the room feel a bit small, other than the above mentioned the overall experience is a pleasant one. Do keep an eye on your phones and wallets when you are in the neighborhood!"
