「It is a typical hotel in UK small town which offers us a nice stay with simple but comfortable facilities. Staffs are nice and the breakfast provided is also very good. 」

「Nice hotel but bedrooms really need updating. Rotten windows make the rooms cold. Staff friendly but one let them down by swearing behind the bar when taking to some young customers. Ladies toilets really need a good bleaching as a lot stains in toilet pan. 」

The room itself was a good size, lots of storage space and a kettle with some coffee/tea on hand. The bed was fine, although a little firm for my taste but otherwise comfortable. 「The staff were friendly & welcoming, the hotel was mostly clean but some areas of the room had been poorly cleaned. My issue is with the decor of the room. Bare concrete walls are not conducive to a welcoming, comfortable stay, no matter what artistic crap reason you give for stinting on the decorating. The lighting was dingy & swallowed by the heavy, dark walls. Coupled with the extremely small size of the room it felt like a prison cell. It's a shame as the bathroom was great & the staff...

「Having read a few previous reviews wasn’t sure what to expect. Some said stairs were awful. Both me and my wife found the stairs fine. But anyone with restricted mobility may struggle. . Room spotlessly clean. Breakfast voucher in room to be used at local pub. Voucher value is £15pp. Full breakfast is £13.95. Then drinks are extra. So you end up paying a bit extra which isn’t made clear when you book. There are cheaper options on menu though. 」

「Very comfortable stay and very welcoming for our puppy as well. Breakfast was included and was delicious and generous amounts. Only drawback was the noise from downstairs bar was very loud in our room and the windows provided no sound proofing from outside. We came back from our shopping to find our door had been left open for anyone to walk in after housekeeping had been in which we were not happy with considering we had valuables we had left in the room. (We had locked the door when we left)....

「Property a bit tired looking however, spotlessly clean and staff where friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with everything we needed although the lighting was rather dim. Small bathroom but adequate and great, powerful shower with constant hot water. Bed large and comfy. Room very quiet and warm. We ate evening meal in the pub, lovely food at reasonable price with varied menu. We also had breakfast, again, lovely food and a good choice. We would stay here again. 」
