"One of our best hotel experiences ever! Truly unique design of this hotel, just fascinating how they have a tall tower of smooth river rocks in the central lobby which reach from floor to ceiling and are contained within a wire cage, and then the undulating floor balconies surround it. The breakfast room on the top floor had an incredible view of the Guggenheim and a very delicious breakfast. Fresh papaya! Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved everything about The Artist! Also, there is a chocolate shop called Miss Choc Ole just down the street that makes its own confections and boxes them on site. You can get some wonderful locally produced gifts here as well as deeply satisfying and thick hot chocolate."

"Amazing property! A former palace. A beautiful view from our room. Service impeccable; staff very professional and friendly. Only suggestion: The Asian bistro had a nice ambiance but the food could be improved. All in all we had an excellent stay at Maria Cristina!"
