「The room was good except that it was very cold, the radiator was turned up high but the room never got warm. The duvet was only Summer weight so we had to use a towel and our coats to try and keep warm. Breakfast was continental and good, but a full English would have been preferred after a cold night! The ladies who served breakfast were lovely. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. 」

「A little difficult to find perhaps but once there it is lovely. We arrived in the dark so it was great to wake up, open the curtains and look at the view across the fields. Breakfast (full english) was superb.」

「Our stay was fabulous. The food is 12/10 We had our dog with us so we had to eat in the bar but it has a roaring fire and a lovely atmosphere and I’d argue this was the best seat in the house. Our room was in a little outbuilding and it was just perfect. Super quiet of a night too. The servers are all very young and the best and most smiley service I’ve had in a long time 」

「I was travelling my motorbike and they very kindly let me park in an enclosed yard at the back. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Both the public areas and the room were clean and modern. Food in the evening was good and great value, the bar had a good atmosphere with locals and guests. Room included a nice continental breakfast. I would happily stay here again. 」

「Stayed for 3 nights, hotel is old but clean. Breakfast was nice, bar was nice. Car park got busy on the Friday, only space left was under a tree. Next morning the front left hand side and windscreen of my car was caked in bird mess, horrible thick black filth. I got a bucket of water from reception and was able to scrape the thick mess off my windscreen but had to wait until I got home to clean off the rest of the mess - went to a local handwash and had to pay a bit extra for the clean. 「Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs.
