「I love scousers because of their warmth and friendliness but the service here - apart from the reception - was abysmal. If breakfast is supposed to be served until 9.30am you shouldn’t be made to feel like a criminal when you greet the staff with a friendly ‘good morning’ to be met with a cold response, looking at their watches and offering no welcome greeting in return. Just appalling when you consider how much working people like us spend in these places. 」

But there were some people in the corridor slammed and knocked the door, probably for other rooms, felt a bit unsafe. 「It was a pleasant stay. Once I'd moved room I was happy. Anywhere other than first floor has a mouldy smell. Place could do with a bit of modernising but was clean and tidy. To eat you have to leave the buidling to go up the steps to the bar and restaurant in a separate building. There was nothing spectacular about the food but it was eatable. It's not a place I would go to for a relaxing break but it was comfortable and close to family that I required. 」
