「Very comfortable beds but it is an old building and they obviously have a problem with mould. There was evidence of damp and mould on the outside wall of the bedroom. Also there were no towel rails in the bathroom but as we were only staying one night it was ok.」

「What a nice stay in a beautiful and historical abbey! The hostel is on top of a small hill but situated next to the tourist spot. Around the hostel you could easily find some spots overlooking Whitby. We picked a 6-female dorm but it's very spacious. The room is very clean and comfy with individual light and plug on each bed.The kitchen and self-catering facilities are clean and big as well. YHA Whitby is the best budget accommodation you could ever ask for! I would definitely recommend it to...

「Had a one night stay, slept so well I forgot I was away and wished we could stay longer. The bed was really comfortable, room size was bigger than expected, beautifully decorated, with a the added surprise of a balcony, which we made full use of until 11.00pm, taking in the peace and quiet and listening to owls and watching bats.
