This walking tour is exemplary. Our tour guide, Jhon S. of El Guardian del Baluarte Tours, was absolutely fantastic: he was energetic, informative, charming, and easy to navigate the city with. Before we began, he made sure to ask us questions about what we wanted to learn about (history, restaurants/bars, landmarks, wildlife, tourist spots, etc.) and made sure to include as much into the tour as possible. Beyond knowing an incredible amount about the city (for our many questions) he also knew all the local vendors and shop owners, and showed us the best local spots to return to for Colombian favorites. He went above and beyond to ensure our safety and make sure we knew how to avoid scams, theft, or false value in the future. We saw an immense amount of Cartagena de Indias - including the three neighborhoods of the walled city and the San Felipe fortress. I was dazzled by his knowledge of architecture, historical figures, and economic history. Do this tour! Ask for Jhon!

The tour was excellent the guide shows a complete knowledge about the places and history. The only one observation: With the idea of giving a good experience from start to finish, it would be better if the pick-up and the *drop-off* at the hotel were organized, since our guide had to negotiate with several taxi drivers who did not accept to take us for 10,000 (the guide gave me the money) and the only man who finally accepted, wasn't very nice with us…
