"Having spent the last month travelling through South America with terrible weather following me wherever I went, I couldn’t wait to get to Rio and spend a few days just laying by the pool. As arrived at Vila Galé and was about to check in I suddenly realised that I’d left my rucksack in the back of the cab from the airport. Luckily Everton, who speaks flawless English, was on the front desk and immediately took charge. He managed to contact the cab driver who 10 minutes later appeared in the lobby with my missing bag. I then realised that I’d booked the wrong room but this was soon rectified by Muna who managed to sort of all out and place me in the room I’d wanted. The staff are uniformly helpful, the breakfast buffet is plentiful, the pool is an oasis on the middle of Lapa. My favourite place in Rio. This was my 4th stay. I’ll be back for a 5th soon. "
