「A fabulous place to stay. Lovely sitting room never saw anyone use it would be much better utilised as a laundry ! We have been traveling for a week and would have been great to be able to get some clothes washed . Also heating was a bit of an issue no heaters on this morning and it was 1 degree !! There is a fan heater supplied and a blanket but the room then becomes stuffy . Great location and very clean but pack a hot water bottle 😊」

「One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The warmest of welcomes sets you up for the stay. Delicious food in evening and a first class breakfast. Bed so comfortable. Room more than decent. No complaints whatsoever! Grassington is a beautiful peaceful and relaxing.」

「This is a relaxed small hotel - a bit like a guest house / hotel with good dining and bar for locals. Sawley is very convenient for Fountains Abbey but isolated - a car is essential. The Spanish chef was very good, as was the room andvthe staff attentive 」

「The staff were very hardworking, always cheerful and friendly, breakfast and restaurant meals were brilliant with plenty to eat, the building is in need of a bit of refurbishment but overall it is clean and very well run. We would be happy to return if in the area. 」

「Stayed for one night and the kitchen was closed but loads of options close by in town. Breakfast was amazing however and worth the trip. They opened breakfast early for me as i had an early start. Hotel was period in nature and some things are tired. Bed mattress was thin and awful, but the room was great. Molton Brown toiletries and plenty of good towels. Staff very helpful and friendly. Overall, worth the money and would return without hesitation.」

「If you would like to experience living in a 400 year old cottage, with many original features, surrounded by so much beauty and peacefulness, then this is the place for you! I cannot recommend it enough. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by hens and cats. We were then shown to our ‘living area’, bathroom and upstairs - a double bed and bunk beds. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. There were so many extras included - books, binoculars, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/fresh...
