"The hotel is situated in an idyllic quiet surrounding of Mariastein. The hotel room was spacious and clean and quiet. No noise from outside. The service of the staff is amazing. They go above and beyond. Breakfast is amazing with fresh products (bread, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, milk, eggs)."

"The only negative was that other guest’s dog lefy 2 piles of geces in the corridet. Someone tried to remove it but left 2 significant feces smears on the carpet. We immediately notified front desk receptionist. Then next morning we told the housekeeper who was aware. "Lovely hotel in centre of Basel. Nice staff, nice breakfast (extra) and free mini bar (not re stocked during stay which was a shame). Only irritation - very noisy of a weekend as hotel is right on Main Street on top of bars. Woke on Saturday night / Sunday morning by a brawl outside window.
