We travelled to celebrate my boyfriend's big birthday. From moment we walked through the front door till moment we left, we had the most amazing experience. We had the most amazing upgrade and staff were very attentive to even the smallest detail. On birthday morning we had a surprise at breakfast and extra something in the room for later. Staff always had a good recommendation on what to do, where to go and what's worth seeing and were happy to make bookings and reservations. I don't think I ever felt this welcome and looked after in a hotel before. I think it really made our stay unforgettable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did have some issues with our initial room but that was quickly rectified and they moved us to a better room. The breakfast menu could be improved.

We spent a lovely week in Damus Zamittello Hotel in Valletta, Malta. We were met with very pleasant greetings every morning from the staff in the breakfast room, who may I add were very helpful and knowledgeable about any trips we were about to take. Breakfast had very good options to choose from. All the staff, from the managers right through to the housekeeping staff were very polite and helpful. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to stay in and hope to return again soon.

The hotel is a beautiful and tranquil oasis of calm in the heart of Valletta, my wife and I stayed in room 43 which was just amazing and well appointed with one of the best beds we have ever slept in and had a dual aspect window with the room having both a bath and walking shower. The hotel is a mix of restored original features and modern touches which works so well. Finally to the staff who we have to say are some of the most attentive and professional we have had the pleasure of staying with in all our travels. From us both a very heart felt thank you to the whole staff at the hotel, who made our stay just so amazing. The whole team are so lovely, friendly and helpful and made our stay so wonderful, a special thank you to Maria, guest relations manager who booked us a beautiful restaurant to celebrate our stay and was so helpful throughout our stay especially including pushing our check out tine back due to our late flight home to back to the UK We loved it so much we are only just back home and already looking at booking it again for next Autumn and obviously staying in room 43.

Where to start? Not only was it beautiful, with great staff, close to everything, in the perfect spot for EVERYTHING, but it was also perfect too. The staff were more than that, from Maria to Chani(hope I got it right, forgive me if I didn’t) and MORE, all of them made it the best experience for myself and my family. We loved every minute, woke up excited and ready for more every day and only went to bed because we were staying in a home of homes and got and needed rest and recharge every single night! I would only not recommend, because I’m selfish and I want them all to ourselves! Honestly the best stay I’ve ever had and will definitely try to have again!

Best hotel in Valletta.
Hotel is a five star hotel (even though it has a 4 star rating). Extremely centrally located (on Main Pedestrian Street). Sandra and Maria went above and beyond on their duties at the front desk. Extremely pleased with their service, recommendations, etc. GM was always present asking if there was anything that he could helps us with. Restaurant and housekeeping personnel very attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Geweldige locatie in het historische centrum van Valletta. Perfecte uitvalsbasis. We werden onthaald en wegwijs gemaakt in het hotel en hoffelijk overladen door een vriendelijke dame aan het onthaal. We arriveerden iets te vroeg, in afwachting van het vrijkomen van onze kamer, kregen we een glas prosecco aangeboden in de lobby. Vervolgens werden we begeleid naar onze kamer. Onze kamer was ruim. We hadden gekozen Deluxe Kamer. Het beddegoed was van uitstekende kwaliteit en het werd naar wens dagelijks werd ververst. De 2 badkamers werden piekfijn onderhouden. Het meubilair was ruim en van goede kwaliteit, het paste bij de stijl van het oude maar pure klasse uitstralende gebouw. We gebruikten dagelijks ons ontbijt ter plaatse. Dit werd door een team van hartelijke dames à la carte aan tafel opgediend. Alles was van goede kwaliteit en met zorg klaargemaakt. De general manager van het hotel was ook dagelijks aanwezig tijdens de ontbijt- dienst en stond steeds ter beschikking. Hij gaf ons tal van tips om veel uit ons verblijf te halen. Zeer hartelijk man! We genoten ook van het dakterras (goede service, lekkere cocktails!)

Upgrade wasn’t for us.
We didn’t get the room we initial asked for. They upgraded us to a suite with stairs.not really an upgrade for us but we didn’t complain. No windows and not good for an older couple. En-suite to upper bedroom way too small. Smelled like sewage when we entered the room. Looks more luxurious in photos however very good service.

A Little Luxury in Valletta
Lovely, elegant hotel conveniently located in Valletta. Staff were courteous and responsive to our requests. We were also upgraded on check in, which was a bonus. The room was spacious and comfortable. Happy to fully recommend the hotel.

This hotel is one of the finest I have ever stayed in in 45 years of extensive travelling for both business and leisure. The beautiful property, attitude and attention to detail of every staff member we encountered are absolutely top class. Perfectly located for everything you need in the centre of Valetta, I cannot recommend the property highly enough.

Stayed here for four nights on our mini honeymoon. The hotel benefits from a perfect location for exploring Valletta and the island. At the top of Republic Street and next to the bombed out Opera house it’s an easy place to find, and the bus station is only a 5 minute walk away. Set in a magnificent restored baroque building, public areas are finely decorated with many interesting artefacts and pictures (even the conference room!) They haven’t forgot about modern amenities though, the air con is a welcome chilled wall when you walk in from the heat of the Maltese summer. There’s a lift too, if you don’t want to use the well carpeted wide staircases. We had opted for a suite #23, and it didn’t disappoint. Set on 2 levels, a comfortable sitting room complete with vintage furniture and a full bathroom downstairs. Upstairs a large bedroom with a huge comfortable bed and another bigger full bathroom. Both bathrooms had rain style showers but no bath, premium toiletries, and the towels were big and very fluffy. There’s plenty of storage upstairs and down, and a tv in both rooms too.Two large carafes of mineral water were refilled daily, only thing missing was fresh milk in the fridge. Separate air con units upstairs and downstairs keep things cool. The roof top terrace is a fantastic place to watch the hustle and bustle of Republic Street down below. Breakfast was very good, decent range and well cooked. Service was impeccable and friendly. Highly recommended.
