"The photos made the space look great. In person, it was less impressive but overall a good experience. We still liked the layout of the room. But the bed is a little too soft, and the bedding well used. The name is not on the outside of the building, so it was a little confusing. They did send a photo of the door with the room access info that hadn't downloaded on my phone. Technically on the fifth floor, but there is an Entresol floor before the first floor - 120 stairs up. "We had the best stay! It was a beauty property. The food was amazing and everyone was very friendly. It is walkable to Saint Paul de Vence. Ubers were easy to get. Tip-check your invoice before leaving my husband and I were charged for 4 continental breakfasts on our last day instead of 2. "

"Lovely stay here as we were attending a wedding. The owner Cooki is very warm and friendly. Breakfast is lovely. Hot shower with plenty of towels available. The grounds are plentiful. Pool looks good although we didn’t use it. House is full of old French charm. Overall a great stay. Small criticism. Our room was en-suite.. however we had to exit our room to a corridor to access it. Not always handy with other guests. No aircon but maybe was never advertised. So our fault for not checking. "We visit St Paul De Vence yearly and it was a joy to come across this gem. Minimally decorated, and sensitively landscaped with perhaps one of the most well-made pools ever, our stay was enjoyable. The owners put their all into making this venue memorable. We are already making plans to return, which says it all."

"Excellent place to stay. We had a 'self-catering' apartment at La Maison aux Bonsais. The sign on the door says 'Guest House'. The owner Luc (and his son Michael) were very welcoming. When we arrived the fridge and pantry were well provided, basically giving us breakfast for our five day stay (with a short walk to the nearby boulangerie). The house is within a walled ancient village. There is parking available for guests and residents of the village. The owner's son met us at the security...
