"Had a most enjoyable stay at The Old Cottage with wonderful hosts Karen and Darren. Really comfy double bed & great shower. Had the benefit of a gorgeous roaring fire in spacious lounge area at night with lots of DVDs and a library of books about stuff to explore in the local area. Darren and Karen were such lovely people, warm , friendly and gave helpful tips about the locality. Breakfast was fabulous, tasty and varied. Would highly recommend this B&B and will definitely be back. Many thanks...

"Hidden gem located on the loch. Counldnt be more dog friendly. Lovely comfortable bed and powerful shower, food was excellent and also a lovely pub 15 mins walk away too. We will definitely go back."

"On a hill with a great view. Accommodations were excellent. A bit difficult to find for someone not familiar with the area and non-numbered house addresses. Just ask for directions from one of the neighbors you’ll likely find walking their dog and you’ll be fine. "

"Hosts very warm , room lovely and classy , view sensational , cooked to order breakfast with fresh fruit , large decking area to enjoy the view ,all round worth the cost , highly recommend , oban a few miles away , inverary 10m away ish , so a good spot to tour from "

"Ensuite was across the hall and shared, toilet down the hall - not what I was expecting and floor a bit rickety underfoot. Actual room was good with plenty of space and a view of the bay and across Oban. Easy walking distance to all Oban facilities - train, ferries, buses, shopping, restaurants and pubs. "

"The room was good with a large bathroom and perfectly acceptable. But it wasn't great. No chairs to sit in, only window seats which were uncomfortable. We were in room 1, right by the front door so rather noisy until the restaurant closed and our window (with a great view) was by the front door, so it felt a bit like being in a goldfish bowl. Would I stay again? Maybe, it was OK, just not great."

"Room pleasant, well appointed and clean but breakfast wasn’t available (the info said it would be if booked). Bar downstairs didn’t serve food so l went across the road to the Premier Inn for both dinner and breakfast. Close to the ferry terminal which is what l needed. "

"From check in to check out I’ve no complaints, staff easy to deal with amd so friendly, nice comfortable bed and hot shower what more do you need. I also left an article of clothing so phoned up the next day and the staff posted it back to me, fantastic service. Room was spotless and the housekeeping was perfect. "
