「Great stay. It took a little while to get used to the fact that this property is unmanned but it actually worked very well. Check in was easy. The kitchen was well stocked. The shower pressure was great - although the shower is protected only by a curtain so not super private but wasn’t an issue. The bed was comfy. We stayed in a private room which even had a smart tv! 「A wonderful stay at Mountain Heights Lodge, highly recommended. The hosts, Karl and Maria, are very friendly and helpful, gave us useful information on food opitons & trails when checking in Room (motel unit) was clean with full equipped kitchenette. The private Spa pool is a plus, relax after a full-day hiking. 」

「We had a very comfortable 2 night stay in the Jerusalem Suite with easy access to the kitchen shared with one other suite. We used the kitchen to self cater (as National Park has limited dining options and my partner is vegetarian) and made use of the oven and gas hob. We had the use of a fridge and the kitchen had all the pots, pans, utensils, etc needed for producing meals. Our room had a good sized bed, plus a sofa and table and a couple of dining chairs. 「It’s a small, cozy, beautiful place. Very quiet and clean. With an amazing breakfast. The owners-Mary and Tim are like parents. Very caring, super kind, always ready to help. One day i didn’t have a time to eat breakfast, so they gave me a breakfast and a lunch with me to go. Amazing place and a wonderful people. Truly recommend to everyone. 」

「Close to visitor center (where the bus stopped). Owner is nice and proactive contact guest b4 arrival. No breakfast provided (which seems to be the norm for NZ hostel) but u can find food nearby. 」
