"Very friendly staff, amazing location on canal. Room was large and very comfortable. Restaurant is excellent. Had dinner there two evenings and tried five different dishes - all delicious. Some of the best food we've had in Germany. Lots of nice walking paths - along the canal, beach area, to local ruins of a monastery. You can reach the innercity of Greifswald by bus - about 25 minutes away."

Our only concern was that it was hot outside and the room did not have air conditioning. We opened the windows and there was a beautiful breeze, but the flies kept coming in! I’d give the hotel 5 stars if they had screens on the windows."

"The hotel was fine (although having absolutely no wifi was a bit of a surprise and not ideal for the type of travelling we were doing). Because we were there in mid-April, it isn't the best time to be at a location that is catering to summer beach goers, so my rating of the location suffers a bit. This is just a matter of timing though. We had driven up from Berlin to go to Peenemunde, and this was a fine hotel to spend the night after before moving on."
