"Good self-contained property. There was only a tiny saucepan (in a house that caters for up to 6 people) when we checked in. We contacted the agent, and while it took a bit of negotiation, they organised someone to deliver a bigger saucepan the next day - so top marks for their responsiveness. Imari (and the nearby Okawachiyama Village) is charming, and we used it as a base to explore Hirado. "

"The Takeo Onsen Kyotoya is a traditional Japanese hotel. I wanted the tatami mat and futon experience and this property exceeded my expectations. I enjoy the older style of hotel as the nostalgia of the experience is valuable to me. The room and bath were well appointed and very comfortable. My room had a great view of an interesting rock formation on the top of a mountain nearby. The location is within a 10 minute easy flat and wide walk from the station. Quaint and quiet getaway

"We decided to reserve one of the Forest Villa town homes instead of staying in the large hotels. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, but we also understood that these little homes were right on the lake and could feel a bit damp and musty at times. The rooms had AC and air purifiers to help with this. Forest Villa is located at Harbor Town and has easy access to Huis Ten Bosch from the rear entrance, as well as close to Red Lobster and the shops/restaurants at the harbor. Our one issue is accessibility to the parking area. The shuttle is great during the day, but you must plan around the shuttle times, plan to stay later on check out day if you need your luggage taken to the front (if you cannot fit it on the packed shuttle in the morning), and be back before the last shuttle departs from the front every night. We would definitely stay here again. Now that we've seen Huis Ten Bosch lit up for Christmas, we can't wait to go back and see it during spring blooms."

Splendid

"A very nice hotel which includes onsen located a few minutes walk from the train station. Less then 5 min walk to Huis Ten Bosch but does not include entry ticket to the theme Park. We booked the family room for 3 in week 2 in Oct and we were assigned to two connecting rooms with two super single bed each. We stayed for a night to enjoy the beauty of Huis Ten Bosch and have our lovely dinner in with pizza and pasta the theme park. Highly recommend. "
