"Be mindful that hotel reviews are subject to the traveller's tolerance of what they consider "acceptable". This hotel is an older property so if you are a high maintenance traveller, this is not the place for you. But then again, it's St. Anthony, not Boise. "We stayed at the Fishing Bear Lodge in Ashton, Idaho as a quick stop on our long trip home, & it was a cozy, comfortable place to rest for the night. The room was very clean, & we felt safe & at ease during our stay. The only issue we encountered was with checkout. Since we had to leave early the next day, we weren’t sure what to do with our room key & ended up just leaving it in the room, hoping that would be okay. "Very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. Close to BYU Idaho and the Temple. Short distance to the city center and restaurants/shopping. The home is cozy with two bedrooms, full kitchen, tub/shower combo, and fully stocked. The host is super nice and she provided us with eggs and pancake mix to make breakfast. I highly recommend the home and will come again next time I visit Rexburg."
