「Lovely quain pub for meals & drinks hosts & staff were excellent & very helpful. Restaurant & bar had a great choice & reasonably priced. Rooms were small chalet stule adjacent to the pub, comfortable with parking adjacent to the challet making it easy. Will certainly use again if in the area. 」

「Fantastic place to stay food fantastic so was stafe and service .rooms maybe a wee bit to warm .also our room was right above a generator but it did settle latter in the night .didnt like the step at the bathroom quite dangerous .alarge mirror in the bathroom would have been Lovley putting all that a side i will be back and i will be recommending it to freinds .」

「Great place to stay, modern room and great food at the pub next door. Staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. Great walks only a few minutes away. Road A515 in and out of Ashbourne was noisy with hgv’s. Definitely stay again and highly recommend. B」

「Great place to use as a base and to sleep while exploring or in our case visting alton towers. Rooms were comfy and clean but could do with a lick of paint. Baths are very slippey and should include a bath mat. Staff are friendly, restaurant downstairs is. Wry good for breakfast dinner and drinks. 」

「A sole cyclist, good check in. Secure parking for my bike. An upgrade on a room. Good facilities, lots of hot water. Clean fluffy towels, comfortable bed. Smart TV, tea coffee, bathroom soap etc. quiet night. Full breakfast, juice, coffee toast, croissant, jam butter and a fried English. Very good. Would return, the building is old, a bit run down, but lots of character.」

「Really lovely property and great evening staff offering a really warm welcome. The morning staff didn't seem quite as enthusiastic but maybe that was just the time of day!? The facilities lose a star because the breakfast is not included and can be very expensive if you include a couple of coffees, orange juice, cereal and cooked breakfast. Great stay overall though.」
