"The gentleman who checked us in spoke limited English but was absolutely lovely. Always smiling and we communicated via Google Translate. Accom was more than enough with a fancy Japanese toilet and new Smart TV. The neighbours were a bit noisy, about a 10 min walk to Bui Vien Walking St and 20 mins to Ben Thanh. Otherwise a cheap Grab will get you to both. "

I pre paid for three nights and when I got there they said they don’t make online reservations as it was 3-4am in the morning and was exhausted after flying from London I had no other option than pay for one night in cash as they do t take card. "We booked and paid for 8 nights in advance but stayed for just 4 nights and found a better place in Grand World. Closer to the beach. The property managers were nice and helpful but not very generous with giving us a refund for the days we didn’t stay. We found the area poor in the choices of restaurants and stores. The restaurants only open after 11am in the mornings, surprising for a tourist oriented area. But that was consistent even in other areas of Phu Quoc. "

"Family business run by lovely hosts. There is a couple that runs the hotel and they are very attentive and polite. They offered me Christmas dinner on Christmas eve and the young son of the owener, which the hotel is named after, gave Christmas cards to all the guests which I thought was a lovely touch. Breakfast is very decent. If you like to be a bit more tacked away from the city but still not too far, I would definately reccomend this place. The mum is such a character, doesn't speak a word...
