The staff are lovely and seem to love the hotel and their jobs. I was amazed at the quantity of staff who take care of this gem. We will be back. We had recently stayed at the El Tovar, which was terrific, but we put the Strater beside it. I think the Strater is better maintained with nicer amenities. 」

「It has nice view to the forest and you would be able to see the sunrise in the morning which is beautiful. The outdoor hot tub is supposed to be closed at 10pm, but people are still using it and making noises at night. We told the front desk about it, but they said the whole deck area is a common area, they couldn't do anything about it. This's weird that they have a rule to close the pool at 10pm but no one is forcing it.」
