"This is a lovely little place with a great pub with really friendly staff and great food. Excellent dog walk on the other side of the road. The room has a fridge microwave kettle and toaster. The owner was a bit stressed about the shower having failed but they had called a plumber and all was fixed with no problems and lots of apologies. Would recommend!!"

"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. "Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms were lovely and clean.. Bed was massive. We booked superior king room. Central to the heart of the city. Breakfast was buffet style and also had ceresls and fruit. Catered for everyone. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely comfortable stay x 😘 "

"We have just enjoyed a wonderful stay at the the Copthorne hotel for my birthday. When we checked in i was over the moon to hear that we had been upgraded to a suite.It was beautiful, wonderful view from our window. Breakfast was lovely. Staff so friendly.
