「Hotel is in beautiful setting with stunning views. There are a couple of lounges where you can relax looking at the stunning scenery. There is an honesty bar you can help yourself to drinks & nibbles at a reasonable cost. Breakfast was fantastic and very delicious with locally sourced produce and they cater for coeliacs. 「Was greeted by owner on arrival and led to my room, very hospital and partner too, who went out their way to personally call me and confirm location of accommodation so i did not get lost. Room was lovely and warm on arrival, bed was terrific ... a great nights sleep. Will definitely go back when in area again.」

「The family rooms more like an apartment were excellent. Everything you needed in the room including dvds for the kids. The host was brilliant and locals in the bar were welcoming. The location and setting lovely. Would recommend to stopping here」

「It was in a lovely location, must be stunning in the summer. Breakfast was amazing! Allowed two dogs which was great. Only negative is our room was above the bar and Friday night was very noisy until the early hours, and no hairdryer in room. 」

「A party of 9, venue didn't have a clue that 3 of us had booked. My room incredibly noisy with motorised heat pump on outside wall 24/7, used soap with pubic-hairs in the shower and mouldy grouting. Food was very expensive for tiny portions and the kitchen couldn't cope with 12 diners on a Sat, so was served cold. Staff member spotted cleaning teeth in the food prep sink. AVOID」

「This is an old building and part of the charm of the village. A lovely breakfast and welcome. The room was spacious and warm. The hotel does need refurbishment and some decoration but it is central and close to the shops and restaurants 」

「What an absolutely amazing place stayed 6 nights with my wife that needed a nice break to take her mind off chemo treatment . From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. The pub part is amazing friendly staff great beer and food the locals are so friendly to just loved this place . The pods are amazing with lovely views of Exmoor clean warm and just lovely. I will be back soon thats for sure also breakfast is included 😋 」

「From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub. We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped. We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included. We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer. 」
