The vibe and colors seemed great in the listing but was lack lust in person. We waited to speak with staff for checking in and felt unsafe in our room since the room next door had access to ours with the double door suite access. Also the two chairs in the room were torn and dirty. The bed and sheets were clean and the moon pies and cola soda were nice to walk in to.

The Thunderbird Inn is a Savannah staple. It's proximity to downtown makes it walkable to most places and it's retro decor makes it hard to forget. We try to stay every time we're in Savannah.

We enjoyed the off-leash dog potty area and the dog cookies at checking, the little touches such as the moonpies, popcorn, and donuts, and the walk-ability

Overall this property was great with the location and convenience. The staff was so great and friendly. The room was mostly clean, just as long as I didn’t look too closely. Traffic at night was a little loud at times and I had to try and roll up a towel around the door to quiet it some. For the amount paid, I am happy with the property though.

The decor is really cute, it gives that 50-60's feel. I really enjoyed the RC they leave on the night stand. The free coffee, donuts, popcorn and lemonade was a nice touch too. The staff was really nice! Jackie on the night shift is awesome! My only issue was this black stuff coming from the a/c heater unit they had on the wall. Also to watch tv we had to cast it from our phones or Ipad, other than that everything was nice. The room was really clean and it was really close to River Street and other bars. We went for the St. Patty's parade, which was really nice. I'd stay there again. It was a bummer we had to pay $20 per day for parking.

Super friendly staff! Be sure to bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper like me. I loved how close the hotel was to the city, we walked almost every day we were there.

A coupon I was told I'd receive was not available. In the room: 1.Lamp didn't work. 2.There was no brew basket in the coffee maker. We were told they might be able to find one, or maybe "the order would come in today." We never got it. 3.Initally there was no heat. We were told how to fix it by one person but it didn't work; another person fixed it easily on the second day by coming to our room. 4.There were no blankets supplied. Someone brought them when requested but they weren't very nice about it. 5.Our toilet clogged and we had to go to front desk for a plunger. We were told we were rude to the receptionist but that is completely untrue. Receptionist said a clogged toilet is less important than checking in a guest. 6.The phone didn't work in our friend's room; when asked if we could get a new one we were told they're "being phased out anyway". We were in the reception area and were told we could call the Hotel phone number; when we asked what it was, we were told "it's on the website." 7.Our room wasn't cleaned or straightened. When we asked we were told we needed to request that upfront. So we asked to have the room cleaned/straightened the second day and when we came back to the hotel in the late afternoon no one had done anything. 8. The keys we were given didn't work the first or second time. There was always 1 person on duty and most were friendly and perhaps overworked. But overall this was definitely not a place I'd ever stay at again or recommend.
