There was one word that consistently came to my mind during our stay: charm. The people were charming. Well before our arrival, they had sent a personal welcome text. Not some AI generated crap. Something personal. They responded to my reply within two minutes. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was cheerful. Even the sweet girl at the desk at 5 who had to get up when I took my dog out. She had to unlock the front door. This is an older property. That shouldn’t be confused with worn out or a cheapened experience. Far from it. If you can live outside the modern gestalt of veneer, this proper can take you back to another time. Moreover, the company that owns this property and others, Heritage, seems to intentionally focus on character and humanity. This was evident in all our interactions. A couple of points: didn’t find a ramp from the street level without going through the garage. That may be my issue. The other little thing to know is that the night we were there the onsite restaurant Hawt doesn’t serve pizza. That’s inconvenient. But, there’s lots of other walking distance locations. We will definitely come here again and heartily recommend you stay here. Treat these people nice. Too many self-serving individuals run what is good. We loved it here!

Historic feel to the building. Very close to the central Plaza in Santa Fe, convenient to museums and shops. Would benefit from installing a ramp in front of the building, as wheelchair entrance is hard to find.

Hotel Chimayo was the PERFECT place for our stay in Santa Fe. Plus, they have fireplace service on demand; wood burning chimneys in each room, and just text to have them send someone by to start 'er up; brilliant! The location was prime for spending time in downtown Santa Fe, and access to the mountains is just a short drive from the front door. Amazing. Can't wait to go back!

We LOVED this place! Great vibe, cute bar and restaurant. Cheap but really good pizza at Low and Slow. Staff even started a fire for us in our little fireplace. Highly recommend.

This place oozes charm. We stayed in a suite and, for the most part, had everything we desired. Two less than ideal aspects were: too firm a mattress and a tight bathroom. I would say the property might benefit from taking some of the tub/shower combinations out and just replacing with a nice walk in-shower. Apart from these other less than ideal aspects, we really couldn’t have asked for more. An extremely friendly, and ALWAYS helpful, staff. Perfect location. Easy to walk anywhere in old Santa Fe. Would I recommend- absolutely yes!

It is a historic property. Bathroom small, AC blows, hard to get room comfortable. The location can’t be beat or proximity to the town Plaza. Staff were awesome. Lovely big porch to have a drink. We enjoyed ourselves for five nights.
