"The property is a bit tired. The staff was very accommodating. I was a bit mislead by the number of facilities on the website. For instance there is only on restaurant not several. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was minimal and the swimming pool was huge but dirty. Also not many chairs by the pool and it is not on the property but adjacent to it (300 yards). That being said, the staff made up for all the shortcomings of the property. "

"I'm not sure why this hotel is rated so highly. I would call it just so-so. The rooms are in bad need of updating, and it took forever for the heater to warm the room. Perhaps it's the best thing in San Fernando? I was hoping that since the property had a conference center the staff would speak English, however that was not the case. The staff were extremely nice however. The breakfast consisted of cold meats, cheeses, pies and pastries, and instant coffee. Not the best, however when I asked...

"It was a great experience to sleep in a wine barrel. We stayed in a premium room with a good bathroom downstairs and small upstairs bedroom. The bedroom was small - but it is a barrel so wasn’t expecting it to be bigger! Shame there was not a bit more storage space for clothes etc. The bed was also a little uncomfortable and the room was in need of a bit of repair. The grounds and pool were lovely and the breakfast great. "

"Lovely hotel in the Santa Cruz area, convenient to many of the local wineries. The majority staff were not as attentive and 'on the ball' as others we encountered in Chile, but we still had a lovely stay. The pool area was a lovely space to chill out and it was always very quiet. The breakfasts were good, but the other meals were 'below par', I wouldn't suggest planning to eat your main meals at the hotel."
