The property is under construction and the hotel is under much needed renovation but the rooms are extremely clean, the staff was nice. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing all the updates and will definitely stay there again.

It’s hard to know where to start. There were so many things that were wrong right from the start. When we first got into our room, there was no working heat. I had to call & request help for this twice. Finally when no one came to resolve the problem, I went down to the desk. A young employee told me they were moving us to another room. He came up to our room later with no cart to move our luggage to the next room. I requested he go retrieve a luggage cart. When he came back with the cart, he made no move whatsoever to help my sister & I put the luggage on the cart. We are in our late 60’s & had four suitcases. He stood there watching us load it all. The new room had two sinks in the bathroom. One sink had only hot water & the other had only cold water. There was no dresser whatsoever in the whole room in which to put our clothes. Altho they assured us that all rooms had been updated, it was as if they had only done part of the renovation & just left the rest. There was no phone, just a bare wire where the phone should be. Another very annoying thing was that the entire hallway on our floor REEKED of weed during our entire stay. I pass no judgement whatsoever on anyone who smokes weed. It doesn’t bother me in the least. However, I do not appreciate smelling it so very strongly all day everyday. It was disgusting. I’m from Salisbury & lived there for many years before moving to NC. I visit often to see family & friends. I will not be re-visiting the La Quinta in Salisbury.

Filthy hallways, elevators and floors. Rude staff at check-in. No shuttle as advertised. No restaurant as advertised on sign. Free breakfast was stale bagels and expired yogurts set up in an emptied out room on the 2nd floor.

I loved how wonderful and professional that staff was to me. I did not like that the hotel advertised a restaurant and bar, There was no way to get to the 2nd floor because it was being renovated. My room was listed as renovated but there was old, dirty carpet in my room, and the heating system was very noisy that I got very little sleep. The shower was positioned that I had to actually get in the shower to turn on the water - there was no way to stand outside of the shower to test the water temperature before getting in. It was just a very disappointing experience, and I would never, ever recommend nor stay at ANY La Quinta hotels ever.

The entire parking lot is covered in black ice from the snow storm that happened over a week ago. Your website said that they have a bar. They do not, it is under renovation and has been closed for two years. That was the only reason I picked this one.

The room was clean and quiet, and staff courteous. Unfortunately the entire second floor smelled like marijuana the entire weekend we were there. Not just a faint smell, but a heavy reek that coated all our things. When we checked out the smell was all over our belongings (we kept getting whiffs as we loaded our stuff into the car).

The front desk guy was tops. The second front desk guy in the evening was tops as well. Both easy to talk to and work with. The place smelled like a pool by the elevators and that’s like my favorite thing. 10/10 they even let pets in. So my bf could come, haha.

Too Messy
Hotel is STILL under construction/updating as was the case when we stayed last year. Workers working late into afternoon on a Sat, very loud at times. Hallways dirty, dusty, without carpet in many areas. Elevator dirty, numbers rubbed off. We had an updated room which was nice but even though turned heat/air off on wall as instructed fan ran all night.

Could’ve done better
They allowed us to check in early. But they put us in a room that wasn’t finished being cleaned. Cleaning products still sitting on the table by the TV. Toilet was not cleaned. No fitted sheet on the bed.
