"The hotel is a mansion built in the 18th century and the decoration mainly retained the feel of that time. In the room the furniture did show the age but we didn't mind. Our room has a balcony and in the morning you can see the sun coming up to greet you. The hotel staffs are very polite and helpful. The hotel has its own private parking which is convenient if you are driving. The hotel is just 5 minutes walking distance to the old port. I will recommend this hotel."

You could also base here and do Caen in a day trip. Friendly staff and student vibe with many schools and universities in this area. It is 5 mins walk to the Shopping center at Docks. There is a Lidl grocery there too. "
