"The general palmer hotel is an amazing choice for staying in downtown Durango. The service, the ambience, the beds, everything was delightful. The lobby is so nice to sit in and have a daily fresh baked cookie and peruse the huge selection of teas and coffee. It all has such a charm AND is at a really affordable price point compared to others in the area. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Durango! "

Due to poor working conditions, I needed to check out of my hotel in Cortez early, and the staff was not only able to get me an early check-in but were also exceptionally kind during my four-night stay at the property. I needed to come into town for some business engagements during SNOWDOWN week, one of Durango's busiest weeks. I have been on the road A LOT this year, and my time in Durango was exceptionally pleasant. I honestly was sad to leave and head to Denver for my next leg of the trip. "
