「We stay here a couple of times per year when we visit the Outer Banks. It is always welcoming and clean, and convenient to everything in Manteo. 「The inn is a great spot on the water and walkable to anything you would want to do, see, or need in Manteo. Definitely make time to eat in the 1587 lounge. Great service and food..... that is saying a lot for us because we normally are biased to cooking ourselves and very rarely find restaurants impressive or worth returning to. Our meal here was both. 「So it’s an older place. The stove needed updating (room 5 had a 1970 something stove that the burners barely worked on unless on high, which then set the smoke detector off. Also the oven would never heat up to use!) The beds are only full sized double beds and aren’t that comfortable. The rooms were very clean though. Room 9 was very nice but it was not an efficiency.
