"The 2 different Receptionist were very amiable. The Cleaner, was also helpful in getting my TV to work. The Shower not so good, as the water did not go down until I’d finished & was out of the cubicle. I therefore had to shower in a tray full of soapy, used, water. Which isn’t very nice. I did report this. But obviously this was as I was leaving ( I was only there the 1night.) "

"This hostel is AMAZING! The property is super well-maintained and modern. Everything is squeaky clean and it smells great. The staff are incredibly warm and inviting from the minute you step in the door. I could not recommend this place enough if you want great value for your money. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. We had a sink and shower in our room. The shared toilets were always spotless. Location was very walkable and close to nightlife. We will definitely stay here again...

"Lovely authentic hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and comfortable. Third floor with no elevator a little daunting for over 70’s with luggage and hip replacements. The restaurant in the garden hosts large groups so can be noisy, loud music. Also a neighbourhood dog enjoyed barking most of the day and often into the night, irritating. Breakfast was lovely, delicious and offered everything you could want."

"We booked this hotel because it was close to a metro station (Trinidad, 5 minutes walk) that went directly to the airport but it turned out to be a little oasis just outside the tourist centre of Porto. "Cale Guest House is a heritage property with many stairs. We knew this prior to staying, but still a lot of climbing. The amenities were simple, yet met our needs. The staff were great, the rooms tidy and clean and beds were absolutely the best. Breakfast was quite adequate and tasty. The location near the river was ideal for dining, but crazy busy for the end of September. We enjoyed our stay."
