"I was deciding between staying at Shepard's and Wyndham Grand. I chose Shepard's and could not have been more pleased. Very clean. Very friendly staff (shoutout to Regina at the front desk). Excellent food and drinks. Shepard's was relaxed and laid back. A more personal atmosphere perfect for a getaway. Ended up getting food by the pool four times. Nachos, fish tacos, grilled caesar wrap. sweet potato fries. All were great and reasonably priced. The pool and hot tub were super clean. We watched the sunset from our balcony. The loud music wasn't really an issue. Our sliding door muffled most of the sound. Probably an 8 min walk to most of the bars/restaurants. I expected some compromises when I booked her but really couldn't think of anything that was an issue. Highly recommend. If you are in between booking here and other similarly priced hotels, you should trust me and book here. I am confident Shepard's will meet or surpass your expectations. "

"I liked the location of the hotel; it is minutes from the beach on foot, and there are some excellent eating establishments in close proximity, as well as lots of places to shop. It is located on the trolley line, so after a day of jam-packed activities the trolley is a convenient option to get back to the hotel. The area around the hotel is clean and inviting. The hotel itself is an older facility, but it was clean & comfortable and provided the necessary amenities for resting and daily recouping after a full day. We were happy with the total experience."

"Stayed here for five nights with husband and toddler, for a little vacation. Excellent location right across from the beach, nice dining options and pool/hottub, and staff were very understanding when my son threw a fit in the lobby (more than once). Room was spacious and allowed us to keep and cook some food in the room instead of going to eat for every meal, but lots of dining options nearby as well! "
