Didn't live up to our expectations
"The staff are very friendly though the service is variable and often slow. The furniture in the rooms needs updating. Inconsistent pricing with the wines. Different price in the bar to the restaurant. 30 dollor difference. They had ran out of a Cantena Alta Malbec and offered as a standard Catena ..."

"Jurassic Park setting! With no raptors! Breakfasts were beyond excellent. So peaceful, excellent place to unwind. Super friendly people to help every need. Eladio's cocoa farm highly recommended. Very knowledgeable but does require some hiking, lunch is included! Very proud man! 15 children, no TV ..."

"We had a great one night stay. The authentic decor was nice and the room was very clean. Location is right on the Caribbean with a small pier and a short walk to a beach and shopping. Staff was very helpful and the restaurant has traditional food that was very good."

"Very unique location for a home to rent. Almost all others in the area is hotels. On the boardwalk and walkable to a lot of restaurants and bars. Keyless entry, that manually locks. Furniture was not clean. Shower burning hot, but there is an outdoor shower."

Verified traveler

The food at Copal Tree Lodge was it's weakest point. Nothing to write home about and with the extreme lack of restaurants in town, it really is your only choice. It wasn't bad, but for a beautiful hotel like this with limited choices you want better.
