My luggage was lost and I had no clothes. The gift shop had very limited and expensive items. I couldn’t eat in the restaurant in a swim coverup so we were stuck eating all of our meals at the buffet which wasn’t great. The jacuzzi in our room shot black mold out of the jets and a nozzle flew off. We informed the front desk, they said they were sending someone to fix it - no one came. Tips are absolutely expected - at all meals and for drinks on the beach, pool, anywhere. I had limited cash because I assumed it would only be necessary to tip maids, bellhop, etc There was no atm. I walked to the neighboring resort where they had an atm but it was broken. If you aren’t tipping you can expect poor service - I would have to ask multiple times for a drink, etc. I would not return to stay here again

Great place to visit with kids. The hotel did a great job with the variety of shows and activities. Clean rooms and community areas. Most of the service staff were friendly and attentive. The food could use some improvement.

We had a great vacation here with our 6 and 8 year olds! Pools, beach, restaurants, waterpark, daytime entertainment and evening shows were all great!! Shout-out to Andres at the front desk who helped us out! I definitely recommend a king bed room vrs the 2 double beds room. We discovered on our last night there that there was not only a fold-down couch that served as a double bed for the kids, but also another pullout bed underneath the fold-down couch. Only thing we definitely do NOT recommend is the Seaquarium excursion - cost is far from worth it, and it's definitely not for children! Teenagers perhaps, but there were zero kids in our group that were actually able to do the underwater seawalk, and it resulted in terrified and crying kids. Highly disappointed with that experience. Other than that, we had a great time at this resort. Also, if you're contemplating between a castle view or a castle front room, I'd recommend saving the cost difference and going with the castle view room.

The customer service what’s great overall but the room was not the greatest, we had a smell of cigars the whole stay, the room is outdated and need several repairs, there was mold in the curtains leading to the terrace, the refrigerator was not closing properly and the AC was not cooling enough

Food and restaraunts were great- especially the a la cartes. Pools and beach were beautiful. Our kids had an amazing time. Everywhere felt clean and tidy however maintenance is needed in the rooms. Our door needed to be slammed shut and the shower desperately needed re-grouting as it appears mould is growing on it.

Fantasia is very family friendly - we went to celebrate my adult kids and we took the VIP package which gives you access to all the other Bahia Principe's hotels and restaurants around - we really enjoyed our 5 days vacay. Every staff member is friendly, food is delicious and drinks/cocktails are on point.

Hotel room could use some refreshing. Drains were clogged, some furniture lightly damaged. Everything was remarkably clean. Beach and pool can get quite crowded but there's a dedicated beach area for Fantasia guests, which I only saw enforced on 1 occasion of the 7 days we were there. The constant goods and services offers on the beach were excessive and could be better controlled. Also, constant loud music at the pools is not for everyone. Dinner reservation availability at the restaurants was very limited due to high number of guests the week we stayed. Grounds were pleasant and well maintained. Everything else was excellent and over-the-top with food, drink, entertainment, etc.
