"The hotel rooms are well appointed, clean and quiet. One must walk through a smokey casino floor from self-parking to the hotel lobby, but valet parking is available if one wants to avoid the smoke. The rooms are very nice. The outdoor pool is clean but unheated, however the hot tub is perfect. A separate elevator to the pool area is a plus. The restaurant options are typical, but a shout out for the great buffet is warranted. Great food and almost too many wonderful selections!"

"We enjoyed the hotel a lot! For the most part everything was great. The sauna was closed though. Most of the fire pits were broken so we couldn’t enjoy the patio at night which was a bit of a bummer! We’d definitely be back!"

"The ratings are relative to the type of hotel this is: value. For stays like this, where I am by myself and don't need to look after a spouse or kids, I *really* appreciate the ability to get a room for such a reasonable rate. Location is great if you want to explore Old Hangtown, Apple Hill, Gold Bug Mine, or about an hour drive to south Lake Tahoe area. Service was prompt and friendly. The room had a fridge that worked great (practically brand new), and a microwave which I never plugged in but...
