"Food was great! A majority of the staff was great! Tried the rooms with Bali beds out front and that was a waste of money. No view and filled with ants. Get a higher room with an ocean view. The beach was useless as it is steep and ground seashells for sand. That said, you cannot beat the view of Simpson Bay. Great island and will be back when they rebuild. I would just stay at a sister property near the airport next time."

"The staff here are amazing. Always friendly, always positive and going out-of-the-way to meet guest's requests. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. The TV didn't work. (But I wasn't there to watch TV) There was no phone in the room. (But was nice not to be bothered with phone calls.) There was an iron in the room but no ironing board??? (Really??) The restaurant downstairs offers amazing food and cocktails . . . Yet there is no menu or mention of it in the room??? Surely you would want...

"Our plane was late coming in to SXM. We followed 2 other planes in so they were going through immigration in front of us. We were not able to get to Alicia’s before they closed at 5. Our driver contacted them, explained the situation, and they stayed until we arrived. Talk about customer service! We truly felt like family and they were taking care of family without any question. A fabulous guest house with amazing staff."
