"We ended up here because we couldn’t find a hotel anywhere else, but it was awesome. Great price and very “European”. We stayed in a senior suite with a living room and bathroom. Gorizia is a beautiful, small, Italian college town. We had a delicious dinner just across the street and truly enjoyed the 16th century bar in our hotel where the bartender told us a lot about the hotel history. "

"This property looks great from outside but it needs a full renovation badly. It felt like walking into a hotel in the early 90s. Carpets in the rooms are worn out and faded. Staff don’t show a lot of enthusiasm for what they do. Housekeeping was the worst. Upon arrival I noticed duvets were not very clean. A lot of hair on and in the duvet. I had to ask for them to be replaced. The shampoo and body wash container in the bathroom was empty throughout my stay. I travel with my own so didn’t need...

"This is a somewhat dated (quirky even?) hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel is well-worn, but our rooms were big by European standards. The bed was reasonably comfortable. Shower, while it took a bit to figure out how to turn it on, produced a good flow of plenty warm water. Parking on street after 7pm and before 9am is free. The carpet could be replaced, as it’s dated. Hotel is on a main boulevard and is convenient to all sorts of food and the theatre. All told, I would stay there again...

However, 24hr reception is not correct, had to wait 15 minutes on the phone and no one answered so had to call another property of the group to gain access. Unterkunft ist modern eingerichtet und liegt in ländlich geprägter Gegend. Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich in Ajdovscina (ca. 10 Minuten). Kommunikation mit Vermieter ist mit Englisch gut möglich. Gastgeberfamilie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. "

"In Škrbina was het heerlijk rustig. We zijn hier een aantal dagen geweest om eens helemaal uit te rusten. Vroeg naar bed en laat eruit. Zolang er geen andere gasten zijn is dat prima. Maar als dat wel het geval is dan is het allemaal erg gehorig. Kerkklok die om 6am losgaat is even wennen. Dus neem oordoppen mee. Heb ik standaard mee. Verder absoluut een aanrader voor wie van rust en natuur wilt genieten. Uitbater wonen in het pand. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is in orde."
