「A really warm friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. That feeling of a traditional bed and breakfast from childhood. Two minutes from the high st , five minutes from the railway station and the bus station. Ideally placed for visiting more of Cornwall be it by rail or bus.」

「The check in process was a little strange, one person on the phone quite a bit in a room off to the side, who knew you were supposed to go in there? He had two other people in there so we had to wait about 15 minutes. Then we went in and it was all of 30 seconds, here's your key, go up the stairs, see you later! No information given. One day we asked about the buses and how to take them (we are from Canada) and the girl at the desk said she had no idea, she never took the bus. End of that...

「The room was clean and useable. Shower was electric but the shower head was in poor condition. Breakfast was good. Service friendly. Dining room small and cluttered with stores and house keeping items. Ideal for an over night stay. But not ideal for a long stay. 」

「A perfect B&B with home made preserves and home baked bread at breakfast. Spotless and with the friendliest hosts. Large rooms and lovely bathroom. You can walk to everywhere from here, including the stunning Cape Cornwall. This is how it should be done 10/10.」

「We have experienced a delightful stay at Halwell Lodge B&B, spending two comfortable nights in the Luxury Double Room, well appointed and perfectly presented, looking out on a lovely garden. Choices at Breakfast were very good and served in great style in a beautiful Dining Room-Conservatory with garden views. Parking is secluded and secure. 「Comfortable room, though not large, with en-suite and a really comfortable bed. We were welcomed on arrival and helped upstairs with our luggage. We had key to come and go as we pleased and visited different places each day. Only one wet day, otherwise warm and sunny - good for October. Mostly came back to eat dinner at the Inn - food was delicious. Excellent breakfasts too. Staff did everything possible to make it a good holiday for us. Many thanks! 」
