"As a solo traveler from the UK to Malta from 19Feb to 24Feb, Urban Valley is recommended. The reception staff are very friendly and gave advice on how to move around the city. My favorite feature was I the free shuttle bus to and from Sliema, Valletta and a bay (at selected times) which guest would need to book ahead of time with the reception due to limited capacity on the bus (8). "The staff at the hotel were very helpful from the reception to the breakfast staff. The room was spacious and the room we had came with a bath and shower (always a plus). It was constantly positioned for all the events and visits we wanted to do and walking was enjoyable around the city. Transport to and from the hotel was arranged prior to arriving in Malta via an email to the hotel. "

Rooms could be better designed but there are limitations in a period mansion. Have come home relaxed and refreshed so a good trip. "

"Before arriving I was in email contact with Joseph, the concierge whom answered every question, arranged a van from the hotel. During the trip our companion broke her wrist and was ambulance driven to the hospital where her and her husband sat in Limbo for 4 hours. I called Joseph whom explained while healthcare was good in Malta, the state run hospital was short handed and could be a full day disaster; instead he suggested a private hospital we switched to whom triaged, xrayed, diagnosed and cast her arm in 2hours total! Joseph made a bad situation so much better. Sunny and the breakfast staff were stellar as was the maids, grounds keepers and Amy in reception whom we purchased a very fair priced upgrade for the room. We have traveled all over the world and this property was perhaps the best we had ever been. It wasn’t the fancy stone, spacious rooms, beautiful pools though they were certainly present; it was the people who made the difference. I will take the accounts of my experience back with me to North East Ford as the Dragonara exemplifies everything we stand for. Lann Rubin II Founder North East Ford North East Service Center"

"Just returned from a 4 night stay in this hotel. What a beautiful hotel. I would say it is ideally suited to over 50s, superb rooms with everything you could wish for. Sea views, fantastic breakfast and evening meals. There is a buffet evening meal or a la carte or bar snacks. Complimentary taxi from the hotel into Valetta town near the bus station. Its a short walk but it is up a hill, so its great and runs every 20 mins. no need to book it. The staff are fantastic. the rooms are cleaned and beds changed every 2 days, turn down service in the evenings with complimentary chocolates left on your bed side table. towels given for the pool areas. Fantastic indoor pool with hot tub and very grand outdoor pool with amazing views. Cannot rate this hotel high enough. Book bed and breakfast and you can decide which evening meal you require and book at the reception for the evening. food in the bar area in the evening is great to. We had 2 evening meals in the admirals lounge buffet style. The international evening on a Monday was the best. Maltese buffet on the Wednesday wasnt as much to our liking, but well worth the money. We had an evening meal in the bar area one night excellent food, and 1 night out at the famous 33 steps taxi there and back 5 euros each way. Fantastic food and atmosphere. We will definitely return to this hotel, dont stay anywhere else you are guaranteed to love this place as much as we did."

"Everybody was amazing! Shan from reception, Alice and Sujata from spa, Julian from the gym, Cristy and Renelyn from the restaurant. Basically everybody from this hotel are excellent! The amenities are superb! 645 sea view room with the bath tub, love it! It would be perfect if the toilet is in the same area as the bathroom or even just have a bidet but because apart from that I absolutely loved my stay in this absolutely superb hotel. I will definitely come back! It's near everything and the view is just out of this world. "

"Malta is an exceptional country. This hotel, while not in Valletta proper, is on a number of bus routes. Malta has no train so all transportation is by bus or ferry. It's very easy. The hotel is terrific. No complaints. "
