"I love this hotel so much, it's like sleeping in a work of art. The beds are so comfortable and it's very clean. Front desk people are so friendly and welcoming. The area is not great, once I checked in I didn't feel comfortable going out after dark as a single woman. But during the day I would not feel unsafe coming and going."

"This older hotel has been well modernized, preserving character and charm while providing modern amenities. Walking distance to downtown Vancouver. Comfortable beds, complimentary tea & espresso. Even provides umbrellas with the room, and covers on your way back in!"

"The property is nice and extremely clean and is generally in a good location for tourist activities. The main reason for 4 vs 5 stars is that this one block has vagrants outside the long term stay / rehab facility across the street and around the corner in front of Hotel Canada . Also, the depiction of the exterior and surrounding businesses does not show the true nature of what this block looks like "
